Here are 4 interesting tins. You might call them “Tobacco Pocket Tins International”. Some might think that this pocket tin phenomenon was just an American fad? Well let’s see, the 1st tin, Alright is from Germany. The next one Master Mason is from Canada. The 3rd Temple- Bar is an Australian one. Last, but not least, Italia is, you guessed it, From Italy. Now this last one, Italia is also what we call a Celebrity Tin. This tin was featured in Fred Dodge’s, Antique Tins, Identification & Values, Book II, Published by Schroeder Publishing Co., on page 50. How I ended up with this tin is interesting. I had this one Irish pocket tin Murray’s see link: http://www.mygerardinc.com/images/vtins/mno/murrays.jpg and Fred Dodge wanted it. I wanted the Italia so we traded. That is how I ended up with a Celebrity Tin.
