I was told that this item is victorian. Could anyone shine a light on it's true origins?

There is a cute little frog in green glaze on the inside of the mug.

Your mark is worn, but it looks like the Bordallo Pinheiro mark with a frog in the centre. The Portuguese company was founded in 1866, is still in business today. I believe older pieces did not have “Made in Portugal on them. Can you try to get a close up of just the maker’s mark?

Thank you. I'll get a close-up of the mark as soon as I can get over to visit my friend again (it's his piece). It's a curious item; at first, I thought it may not be antique as it's in such good condition.
