This is a 32 oz. (2 lb.) sealed tin of NEVR-DULL Magic Wadding Polish made by The George Basch Company, Freeport, NY. - The polish is impregnated into a wadded wiping cloth and can be used on all types of metal, mainly made for aluminum and chrome. The tin graphics and brand are © 1941 and the packing sticker attached shows it was packed in
- - - - September 1971. - The band tape seal on the lid is still intact. Product is un-used.

The tin is still sealed so it would still be usable - originally developed for use on the old aluminum-skinned airplanes, hence the military designation number, it made its way to use by classic car owners and motorcyclists because of its fantastic finish and protection left on the chrome pieces. The Nevr-Dull brand is still sold today, I see it even at Walmart but in little 5 oz tins, so if I did have something to use it on I would just buy a new one instead of opening this sealed 2 lb can. - I love the red, white, and blue graphics on this and the large size really makes it stand out in my collection of tins. - Thanks for your comment Sean.

I used this in the 1970s all the time ... Cars and bicycles ... And it does work great ... Someone posted a can awhile ago, and it really reminded me of the cars i had as a kid ... Washing, waxing and shining up the chrome ...

I love this, mine has been used probably since the day it was originally purchased and works as well as it did then! If I remember correctly, the can says that even when the "cotton?" is black, it continues to clean. (not an exact quote).
    Love it :)
