No telling what they are worth now, but as a kid you could pick them up for 50 cents.

You're getting close inky. I'm getting in good shape. Now when I've been thinking about body building, get out of the shower & look in the full-length mirror, I'm not thinking, "I need to find a better construction site". LOL. Of course you know who it's for & she's liking it. After her last visit to Germany, she's packing more baggage per size than I am. I feel a lot better too & she has always "felt" good!

Yes, I had a couple of these too when I was a kid. I wish I had them now. WWI versions demand a premium.

Yeah, hindsight. 3 military post where I grew up & one was ordnance. Open warehouses full of cases of everything from WWII. I was making pistol grips from new Thompson stocks & all the slings, belts, Garand parts, clips, magazines, cleaning rods etc.. Oh, to be able to go back & take advantage of it all!
