This would be really heavy, so might make a good base stand for overhauling small engines like for motorcycle. Then, I could send pics taken at diff. angles if you want to have a bronze bust of me cast. Problem with that is, there would be no market value unless a few CW members, like Roycroft, would want a target to zero-in new guns. Sorry, but that's it on ideas!

i'd love to have a really large bust to put on it or even a torso w/ a bust, like in those spanish colonial dolls [?] w/ the skirt supports [forgot what they're called]. i was also thinking of making a really huge birdbath to try and attract great blue herons and other large birds.

You still have birds that will live in CA? Guess there will be no bust of the "honky". Well, it shows that you have better taste & class than the people I know.

uhm yeah, we do have birds in california. do you still have them in the Antilles??! hope so... not sure what you mean by 'bust of the honky', but that probably wouldn't go over too well in my barrio!

Ho2, after hurricanes Luis & Lenny, there were no birds to be found for awhile but they come back. It can be a long hop between islands & have wondered where they come from. We have loads of them & I have had to fill my sugar bird feeder up to 7 times a day as when it is empty they hang on my screen door chirping until I fill it.

I've found humour the best way to handle prejudice but then there are the hard-cores. When people ask my name, I give it and say that I also answer to Shake & Bake, Bum'bleclot and Honkey. I encourage my local friends to call me Honky. It's just a word that I treat humourously. I've been in the "South" and the Caribe. Basin so long that all white people look alike to me, & that's not all joke.

you did give me a chuckle blunderbuss2, but the word 'Honky' is almost never used where i live, because of it's racial overtones, i guess. where i live, the dominant language is 'Ma'am', a mayan language and i am actually considered tall at 5'7"! that is interesting about birds disappearing from an island after a hurricane. i had never considered that. i imagine that a super-sized hurricane could wipe out the birds over a much wider area - making their comeback all the more slow. it sounds like you live in a very interesting paradise! Bum'bleclot?!!

When those biggies hit, they don't target just 1 island. The 2 mentioned left nothing green but some grass. Looked like winter in Tennessee! No birds can possibly live thru that. During Lenny, for some reason the phones kept working and a pilot friend of mine was in VA & calling the coordinates every couple of hrs & I'm tracking it on my hurricane map. After doing 1 plot, I called him back and said, "Why didn't you just say it's a number 12 Blvd. de Grand Case?". The eye wobbled over us for several day & must have gone thru 1 "wall" or the other 10-12 times. I lost count. I had only been thru the wall once before & that was an incredible experience. Hopefully not to be repeated!

PS, Ho2. You obviously know nothing about Jamaican patois. As a female, I can promise that no Jamaican would explain the true meaning of "bumble'clot! Like most curse words, the meaning is in the delivery. "Clot" (meaning cloth) is at the end of most of their cuss-words. It would surprise you if you knew the truth. I've given a a hint & you can go from there. Not on CW though!

Roy, you are just so kind. The anchour part is too final. A good set of targets & maybe a "body-jell" with my face would last longer. Do you want a current pic ? From the navel-up, shoulder-up or just the face?
