Marked like Bybee pottery but it looks modern Rooster figure with garden hoe

This is not a high end piece of figural pottery. 10" tall and made of yellow clay. The stylized rooster is on guard and I wish he could do a little weeding whilst standing in the midst of a flower bed. I was curious if this is just a modern pottery barn type rooster or something else. It is marked on the bottom with the initials BB. The signature looks a lot like bybee pottery. Just wanted to throw it out there if anyone knows what pottery company it comes from.
The last picture is of our Siberian female "Kita" meaning north in Japanese. She is lovingly looking at her "dad".
