Found at an estate sale-this heart is huge measuring 1 6/8" wide by 2 1/4" tall and 1 1/4" thick, and I have tried to research it but only found out that it is plique a jour and likely very old-Jewelers have said they cannot test for metal as it would likely damage the piece-both said it looks like silver but could be platinum-There is a J with a star above and to the right but I have been unable to identify this mark-many things from this estate were dated to 1800's-any help in identifying, please!
