      Actually they were not at all hard to use and they sure were a huge help when you were working up wood. You have an older one here and I love it. Coat the wooden handle with some boiled linseed oil to preserve it and keep it from cracking. NOT RAW LINSEED OIL. A little man can move a huge log with one of these.

      still in use around here....every winter....along with a log jack.
