I recently acquired this little guy and he has stolen my heart. I don't know anything about him except he is 17" tall, well loved and has a beautiful face. He has a composition face, arms and legs with a cloth body that has been repaired. Not exactly sure if he was born in the 20's-30's-40's, etc. If anyone has any information on him, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi what is marked on back of neck or back shoulder plaate ? It is a composition "Mama Doll" and they date 1920-1940's . They all had same general look as yours with a few exceptions and those were character faces which made them easy to ID . Character faces were either laughing had dimples or something that made them look different . So yours having been made by one of many companies that produced these dolls I am hoping you see some raised letters on neck . I will await your reply . I can not see eyes clear to see if they are tin or decal type ?

It has no markings at all and the eyes are tin painted. Thank you so much.
