Hope I'm not jumping the gun or steppin' on toes with these early 4th of July firework pics.
Last night the Lanterman State Hospital set off their last fireworks show. This is a monumental hospital that has been in the process of closing since 2010. Every year they have an amazing fireworks show that I can see from my back yard. I will miss this show for sure.
And since we all love the jewels of yesteryear, I have to tell you, there are many to be had from this hospital. There are actual resident homes on this vast property and so much more. It opened in 1927 (could be 1917) and there are so many precious collectables there...don't know just yet what they are going to do with them or when they're selling everything off...I'm going to cruise thru there and snap some pics. Will post soon!

Love your photo. I tried to take some on July 4th here in Marco Island. I wasted half of my memory card and non of the pics are worth sharing.
Thank you freiheit. Yep, it's a def hit or miss. I just kept snapping! I still have some I want to see on my phone. Most were just black sky :)
