    This is an original paper ad from my private collection of advertising posters (ca. 1912) This ad is for Peterman's Roach Food/Peterman's Discovery/Peterman's Ant Food. The company is called Peterman's out of New York and they made lots of different bug killers for the household.

    The ad itself measures 11" x 14" and has been professionally linen backed for my collection. This is an excellent example of a graphically designed ad, the upside down cockroach is the main logo for what was once the Peterman's Company. I have never seen another ad like this, chances are this may be the only one of its kind to survive, at least in such pristine condition.

    This original paper ad was most likely shipped to retail stores for posting on their windows and walls in order to attract customers and let them know Peterman's products were sold there. This is a GREAT image and a SPECTACULAR graphically designed ad!
