Brass - Gresco - Found in my grandmothers trunk. I really have no clue what this is, I cant find it anywhere,,,, HELP!

Can you put a tube of lipstick in it and it stays there?

Gresco made vanity items such as lipstick holders, pincushions, thimble holders, compacts, and mirror and/or picture frames. If it stands upright like shown, I would assume it is a frame for two round pictures. - google "vintage gresco"

No, the holes are just slightly bigger round than a quater. I saw that Gresco is big for the lipstick holders back in the day, but this doesn't seem to match any of those =-(
