    Here is another recent find. A nice little hanging pine box. Mostly a better decoration than to display things. There are no shelves which is odd. Handmade mid 1800s would be my best guess. Enjoy.

      You don't give the size butt I wonder if it was for keeping candles in and hang up out of harms way..just a thought!...:-)

      It looks like a candle box, although that depends on the size of the box. Is it lined or is that grey paint?

      inky, I don't have it with me, but the size is about 14 inches by ten. id, thanks for the comment. That is old paint on the inside. blunder, always a pleasure....hope things are well.

      Good question BHock. Kraut's in holding pattern & met girl from the area my mother is from & trying to see if there is a strong family relation factour. I'm from AL so don't think it really matters that much as we have our traditions to keep up for reputation's sake!
