I have two "clasps" that have sharp "teeth" on them. Have been trying to figure out what they would have been used for...the "teeth" would make holes in fabric...so wondered if they would have been for coat closure or what??? I would like to research them further, but need help getting started.
Both are a brass tone, but have no markings on them. Not sure if they are brass .The back side of the clasp has nice detail....but don't think it would show if it was underneath.
    Fur clip?
    Any info???

I think these were used on fur coats and hence the teeth like closure.
