Was given to us by a very well of lady who was
Very sick. Don't know much yet about it.
Some have said Art Deco from a artist called A. Gory
    Maybe early 1900.
I'm only 30 and just started learning about art but there's something
About this piece. It catches everyone's eyes.
Would love to know who the markers mark belongs to.

      Affortunato Gory (Gori), Italian/French (1895 - 1925)

Affortunato Gory was born in Florence. He studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence under Augusto Rivalta. In the beginning of the 20th century he moved to Paris and completed his education under Victorien-Antoine Basset. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1902, 1904, 1912, 1914 and 1923.

His oeuvre consists of sculptures of young women, children and some historical figures like Rembrandt en Dante. He worked in marble, bronze, ivory, often combining these materials in so-called chryselephantine figures.
