I am once again looking for some assistance from the experts here on Collectors world. I recently came into possession of this small Sprite Boy cooler. Can anyone provide me with additional information on it? The manufacture is Knapp * Monarch, the model is Therm a Chest. I presume that it is old based off the fact that Sprite Boy is featured. I realize it is in rough condition but, I think it is very cool.
    The size is
16" tall to the top of the handle
    10" Wide
    9" front to rear

    1) Any ideas on how old is it
    2) Any guesses on value
    3) Any additional insight would be greatly appreciated

...but could this have been a (Few) special promo item? Just wondering, as it seems they made others????.

      http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-KNAPP-MONARCH-TOWN-AND-COUNTRY-THERM-A-CHEST-COOLER-CAMP-HUNT-FISH-/271522081680?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f37fa2b90

Also the reason I ask about this metal cooler posted -- few people know that Coke had at once owned *Igloo Coolers* as I have one from that era.

      http://www.foreandaftmarine.com/MANUFACTURE%20ILGOO.htm

      Quote from above link:
"" ....The excellent reputation of the Igloo line made the "Igloo" name recognizable to consumers and retailers throughout the sales territory. In 1971, the TTI name was dropped in favor of Igloo Corporation as the company's new name. By the end of 1971, the employee population had grown to 433; and Igloo was SOLD to the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of New York, Inc.

In October of 1980, Igloo was acquired by Anderson, Clayton & Co. (ACCO). Then in 1986, ACCO was purchased by The Quaker Oats Company. In 1987, Igloo was sold to "Igloo Holdings, Inc.," a newly created company..........."""

So just wondering IF it is possible this metal one posted might have been a Special Promo item? yes//no//maybe

      Just wondering.....LOL
