We call him Willy.. do you know where he came from ??

This Old golfer is a Scottish bloke I found at a thrift store. he is about 24 inches high , I'll have to check for tags, he is stuffed body hands and face are ceramic or porcelain possibly . I thought he may have been a marionette at some point because of his size. I gave him to a friend who fell in love with him.. I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about these types of dolls ,is he a doll ?

According to the tag.. faded but there he is a collectable doll not a toy. Made in Thailand ..
