One would think by looking at this one it was a condiment set, but no. The middle bear has no lid, so she is just a handle for the salt and peppers to her sides. Bears - not the teddy bear kind - are few and far between, so I had to add this one. Anyone know the age and mark?

The mark on the bottom is vaguely readable. It has kind of a crown mark with "Wales China --" inside the crown, and beneath it "Japan"
It is not luster - 3" tall with a 4-3/4" long base.

Wales were an Import/Export company to the States.
I only know this from glass that has marks and stickers similar.
I have only ever identified one piece's actual production factory because of another piece sent to another market.
Probably the same for the porcelain - Wales would have contracted any number of producers for their ceramics.

Hi racer - thank you for the info. I'll add it to my image file for this one.
