This I would call a cup !! It has no handle and is finished in a black satin with a bird on both sides in white with a guilded head in a chinese style , the cup also has a stalagmite type pattern all around the top with guilding, the inside is white glazed with black swirls all around the rim....its 3" high x 3.5" across...
ive been trying to find this pattern for a while now but with no success , I thought it may be oriental but im leaning more towards English , I also thought carlton ware but just cant seem to find similar!
ive just noticed that the bird looks right even if the cups upside down,
Any help is greatly appreciated

You know I love this surf :)....... little Asian bowls are always tempting when I see them. I'm leaning more towards Asian but can't decide whether it's Japanese or Chinese. Seems to have elements of both.
Mikelv85 .. its totally confused me !! I thought chinese at first but know some english potteries did similar patterns but I cant find it anywhere!! Sd

Yes sean it is a beutiful little cup , I wish I could find more of this one , it would be nice to have a large plate with thix pattern !!! Thanks sd
