While we are on the subject of Loetz animal figures, I thought I would share photos of our two Loetz animal figures - a stork & a turtle. Both of these pieces are a nice size for Loetz. The stork is 12 in and the top of the turtle measures 8 1/2 across. The iridescent colors in these two pieces are amazing especially the red and purple hews on the stork.

...just kidding. These are magnificent Deb. The turtle is maybe the rarest piece of Loetz animal figures I have seen...and the stork, those are almost always damaged or restored...I know you only collect the best. Congrats!
I love them.more pictures and info would be great.thanks for sharing
Thanks, T & Thank you, dah2112! I am assuming by more pictures & info you are referring to these pieces. If there are other types of Loetz that you would like to see, let me know. Loetz began production of the Stork in 1904. This particular one was created in the Loetz color known as Metalic Red and the decor is called Papillon. The Turtle was created much later around 1927. I am glad you like them.
Gorgeous and Weird at the same Time!
