Went to a yard sale and purchased a box of odds & ends for $5. Found this at the bottom. I know it is carved out of some type of stone, I am thinking pumice because of the light weight. About 5 3/4 inches tall and weighs 11 oz. This item totally stumps me... Any clues out there

this is not a doll but a novelty item . I think I see seams ? It looks like something made in a cottage industry for tourists . The painting is crude so not professionally made . Cute and I wonder what hole is for ? A joke gift maybe ?
