So I've had this doll since I was 3 and named her Lucy, but it always drive me crazy that I don't know her original name. She is in poor shape and has had much love throughout the years and I'd love to get her restored (at least her hair) but I don't know who she is. She used to have a yellow dress and yellow shoes. She was given to me in February of 1991 so she might have been released for Christmas is 1990. her head is hard plastic but her body is cloth. There are no marks as to indicate which company made her (I know this doll inside and out and have never seen one) although it was probably in her original clothing. I know this is more modern than what this site is used to but any help would be greatly appreciated for me and for Lucy.
She resembles a Precious Moments doll .More like a look a like doll . Look on back of her neck under hair and it may be high and into hairline . See if there is anything there saying name of co. also check her body side seams and see if there is a tag sewn in . I will await your reply :-)
The tag is long gone this doll has been through the ringer and there's nothing on her neck or hairline. Precious moments dolls eyes are more of a teardrop and hers are more oblong than that if she is a precious moments doll she must be a rare kind I've already checked their catalog and couldn't find her. Are there any websites which would tell me what toys were sold in 1990/1991?
