I been trying to find more information on this bench. I know it is Marble & Shattuck chair company and they went out of business in 1894. If anyone knows any more history or even know what this might be valued at?

I believe these were called "sette", so maybe it could help when researching to call it that instead of bench. Wow, this is in great shape for being so old! It is in desperate need of some wood oil though. Once applied, you will be amazed and it will be very happy and give you many more years that way. Otherwise it may just split on you.

Oak-- this style was popular in the very late 19th- early 20th century.

Based on YOUR maker info, this was made during their last few years of production.

The style looks like a piece found in a commercial setting, like a post office. It looks to be in excellent shape!
