    Prince Baltasar Carlos 1639 Artist: Diego Velazquez ?

    This painting came out of a Jewish estate and was never framed or on a stretcher. It was rolled up and sealed away. I have checked all data bases and can't find anything on this painting. If you look at the 1654 Portrait of the Infanta Maria Marguerita by Diego Velazquez it is almost the identical chair.
    I think this is a old copy of a painting that no longer exists! WILD!
    This painting was so dirty when I got it you could barley make out his face!
    There are about seven shades of color just in his lips! What are your thoughts?

      it looks so new and crisp now. it might be better to post photos of what it looked like before you did the restoration.
