Have this and been digging around to date it as can not find a date on it. It is the Thunderbird Rocket # 3. Has a rubber tip (not plastic). A few dings. I can find some similar to this, but there are slight variations as to where the placement of the name Thunderbirds is, the colored rings around the rocket, and and just some smaller variations for the blast off area. Surely there must be one out the exact same -- as that is important to get a correct dating on an item in my opinion (IMO).?

Yes that is Thunderbird 3 of the 1960s puppet show The Thunderbirds. Looks 60s to me but I have no real info on it.
Yeah....it looks like a heavier metal to me ..... so I am thinking older too. As I remember these type of heavier metal toys when I was young
Think I might have figured it out....
Mine is marked Made in China ...and I did find out that Matchbox (Tyco Toys Inc) for them was in China. Guess this is from 1993-1994 era as it appears to match everything here in the below link as you can also see the back of the cardboard packing that says made in China. So Yes Matchbox.....guess I solved it
