Scored this garbage can at an estate sale. Was told that it belonged in a bar that the owner used to work in. Haven't found a similar one online to see if it's worth restoring. However I do think it's pretty cool and will go well with my husband's future man cave. Anyone else have info I'd appreciate it.

I wasn't sure if it was truly vintage or original. Perhaps you are right, restoring may losing that "vintage" feel to it. I should start looking for the push lid now huh?
      Thanks for the comment.

I would leave as is....it has *Character*

I personally -- Want old stuff to look old. Not Brand new, and restored. That is just me, and my opinion. This shows/tells a story of age!!

It will take time, research, and diligence to find a replacement piece off a like trash can. Probably costly to have refabricated. Not sure. Maybe somebody with metal work resto experience will know.

Did it have a push lid on top? I remember some of these NOT having any.....as it was thought people would use it more if open.

Can you see ( under the top) IF it had one....or not??

I like it as it is!!
