Found two of these in an out building when renovating a home from the 1890's. An Upholsterer lived in the home in the 1940's which is why I think that's what these are for. There are no markings, stamps, or numbers to give a hint at who produced them. If anyone has any idea what these are please comment and help clear up a mystery.

Items are 26" tall 12" wide and about 8" deep. The top swivels open to reveal two compartments about 3" deep. The center dowel running through the wooden spacers is wrapped in a thin tin flashing and the whole piece can be removed from the side. Units are both on small wheels so they can be moved around. They only weigh around 15 pounds each.

They also have a metal clip near the top of the unit just below the compartments.
