I have no idea what it is, the back of it says: Made in Israel; it's heavy as hell. I'm sure it's cast-iron. If anyone has any idea please let me know. I purchased it at a 2nd hand store. don't know what category it should go under...LOL

It appears to be a candle holder
or a tool to put out the candle
It looks to me as if it is made to hold a small candle to light and keep food hot by placing a pot on top of it . It is also not made of cast iron . It is bronze . Cast iron does not get this type of patina .
