    This is about 6" long made out of brass. Where the " wings" are it is about 2 1/2" wide. There is a rod that runs through entire length. When you push it in from bottom p, there is spring tension on it . As you can see in the photos one has rod depressed and other not depressed. I have no idea what it is or what it is used for.

      why its a wing nut ..its plane to see...lol no clue,.. but will be sitting on the side till the real plumber comes..
