Does anyone know anything about this unique pipe and holder? I is laquer polished and the pipe has been used for opium consumption. Picked it up at a collectors estate sale twenty years ago. Help.

      Hi Bebe609,

What you have here is a japanese pipe -kiseru- with a pipe holder -kiseruzutsu-. The third part is missing; the tobacco container -tobako-ire- . This set is nicely executed but fairly common. It dates from ca. 1920/30.

      I hope this helps,

      Arjan de Haan
