I love this little pot !! Its roughly 5" high 5" across the top , its in a grey/brown matt colour glaze with what looks to me like greek or roman style figures in different forms impressed & in blue/green around the pot !!
The base is marked -
ROGILD
DANMARK

-ive never seen this maker before but would love to get some more of it !!
Any info welcome please as there isnt much on the web that I can find about it ??

You're right - it is really heard to find anything about this pottery! Apparently Røgilds Lervarefabrik ('Roegild Pottery') was established in 1837 in a hamlet near Aalborg in Northern Denmark and closed in 2000. The building no longer exists. It is really difficult to date the pot - I'd think 1950's-1960's perhaps...
Hi jensen ;-) many many thanks for your help as it is really hard to find anything to do with this pottery which I think is strange seeing as it ran for over 150 years, also closing in 2000 you wouldv thought there would be something on the web !!
