This is a 1920 Corona 3 folding typewriter. The folding mechanism is much less substantial than any other Corona 3 Typewriter I have seen. I have been told that it is due to the restrictions placed by the War Board after WWI on use of materials in manufacturing. I was told that less than 50,000 Corona 3's were produced this way.

I am trying to get more information on this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
