This is my March 1973 F2S Photomic with Dp-2 finder, DS-1 EE aperture control attachment, MD-2 motor drive, MB-1 battery pack, and MF-3 film back (she's fully dressed except for a data back).Introduced in 1971 the Nikon F2 superceded the 11 year old run of Nikon F(which I also have posted in my collection here). Both versions the F and F2 were perfected due to the contract with NASA for the Appollo 13 and Skylab missions (for atmospheric shots). Renowned for flexibility and reliability ( not to mention, durability ) it was quickly adopted by pros worldwide and remained as the pre-eminent 35 mm SLR for the next 10 years until its successor, the Nikon F3 was released. The F2 is coveted as the last of the all mechanical, hand assembled Nikon F series models. This one is outfitted with the legendary DP-2 Photomic finder (only produced from 75 to 76). In excellent shape this camera is highly desired to this day and, by pros, considered to be one of the best manual 35mm film cameras. Everything on this camera is spotless and fully functional, lens, body, battery pack, etc.
