Hard to say how old this is but it does seem to have some age to it. I would guess about 40 years old. Anyway there are four butterflies inside it. One at the lower left has lost 3 of 4 wing sections and the one at the lower right blends in with the background. As you can see the blue butterfly is blue on one side and brown/yellow on the other. When the wings are folded it would blend in with foliage and open the bright blue wings appear.
The dome is 13" tall with the base and 9" wide at the base. Picked it up on Route 66 in Kingman AZ.
