PhilDavidAlexanderMorris is spot on in regards to the general date of this clock's manufacture. Ansonia made at least three mantel clocks which featured this statuette. They were the "Troubadour"
      http://p2.la-img.com/289/26437/9939490_1_x.jpg

      the "Minstrel"
      http://p2.la-img.com/289/16979/5711615_1_l.jpg

and your clock the "Bard". Here's another example of your clock:
      http://p2.la-img.com/289/26437/9939407_1_x.jpg

Of the three, the Bard has the most elaborate Clock "Tower". As you would expect, it was the most expensive of the three retailing for around $50-$55 (depending upon the metal finish) in circa 1894. Adjusted for inflation $55 in 1894 would be the equivalent of $1,492.45 in 2014. In 2011 the example I provided a link to above sold at auction for $1,980 (Buyer's Premium included) so as you can see, depending upon their condition, your clock model has appreciated in value. A very nice heirloom (or investment) you have there. Take good care of it and thanks for sharing.
