My favorite place, estate sales. I couldn't believe it, I found this doll with alot of other "toys" and I saw that it was signed. It was with a big bucket of toys and what not, marked $10.00 each. I always look for signatures, although I did not know who this doll maker was, I am not a doll collector, this one looked so different, beautiful and real. The lady doing the estate sale must have been new or something to miss this item.
I went ahead and picked her up and you know that feeling when you just know you have something, I was satisfied and went home. I looked her up and listed her right away and to my surprise, She sold for $100. I was told that the tape on her legs looked bad. But I was not going to change anything from the way I found her. A lady was very happy to get her and I was happy for her also. Tomorrow's Friday, off to estate sales I go.

Nice find ! Annette Himstedt is a well known doll artist and her dolls have kept value . She likely sold for several hundred when new , But she has a group of followers . You picked a good one out of pile :-)

In 2008, Annette Himstedt closed her manufactory after 23 years of creating the world’s finest dolls. In her words, “I have spent nearly a quarter of a century in my manufactory and worked there with passion, much discipline and a lot of idealism.” But with the closing of her manufactory, the love and passion of Himstedt collectors worldwide has not faded.
Many of her dolls sold for large amounts nearing a thousand dollars when first sold !

Your welcome l.a.lady, Very few newer contemporary dolls have much value in today's market unless it is a famous artist like she was . I believe she lives in Germany . All signed dolls will not carry the value of her's and a few others :-)
