I think this may be sculpted from alabaster and on a marble base. It's about 5-6 inches tall. The girl has a headband with pink colouring in the centre. The pillow also has a pink colour edging.

Is it possible for you to take a few more photos? The bottom, back etc...I don't know why but they seem to upload sideways when we put up our first few, so don't worry about that. We've got some experts with these type of items so I'm pretty sure you'll have an answer soon. So you have any idea how long the person had it before you got it? And how heavy is it?

We don't actually have the piece in our hands yet. We are a non-profit organization and we have had the contents of the home willed to our SPCA. The couple were in their early eighties, from England and traveled extensively. We were able to inventory and take pictures but the items are still in the home until we are able to pick them up. There were many, many pieces of artwork in the home including some beautiful paintings, that I will post later. This particular piece was fairly heavy for the size.

How do you get her to balance on her head like that?
