    (108 items)

A pair of Seals as use when sealing letters etc (sorry about quality of pictures) . The large seal as the letters IH with a running fox, the small seal has VITE SOYEZ over a pheasant any idea what Vite Soyez is ? any help would be great many thanks. Now the other problem is to date them I think around the late 1700`s early 1800`s any thoughts on that ?,
both items look like gold but are not hall marked in fact there no markings at all ?any help

Well, in French Vite Soyez means "be fast"

Agree with Aghcollect, the telling is called a "motto". French was the mostly used language for them even for English items! (As the famous "honni soit qui mal y pense" on the english garter order)
They are certainly Georgian era, for the gold content, as laws exempted small items with stones to be hallmarked, a careful jeweller can test it for you!
      They are very nice!
