This cigar ashtray is really neat, bought it at an estate sale amongst some other beautiful things, it is no longer mine (a very cool story behind this). At first I thought Grouch was applied via sticker in this ashtray, the more I looked at it, I realized this was a fused process. The cigar ashtray has the standard 4 rests, it is squared, with a textured feel to it. It measures 8 3/4" X 8 3/4" and is ice blue in color. I am curious to know if anyone knows the FOR SURE date of manufacturing and who the maker was and what origin. Since Groucho Marx spanned many decades, I am a bit perplexed. It certainly has the look and feel of ashtrays made anywhere between the 1930's (late) and 1970's. I would appreciate any info on this so I can provide to the new owner.
