This watercolor was done by an artist named Rene' It has some discoloring around some of the edges but is still crisp & colorful. The blossom almost looks like you can lean over and "smell" it. I can remember this hanging on the wall of our home from at least the late 50's. It still hangs on the wall of my home today. I was told at some point by my mother that my dad bought it for her before they were married because of her love for that type of tree/flower. So this would put the piece back to the late 30's at least. I always really enjoyed looking at this picture all the while I was growing up.
