    LOUMANAL
    (436 items)

I found this Certificate dated September 22, 1945 inside of a Rifle Scope box that I purchased last weekend. The scope was a newer 1960's item but this certificate certainly looks old and official. The Seal on the certificate has; HEADQUARTERS UNITED STATES FORCES EUROPEAN THEATRE-OFFICIAL. Any collectable values for these certificates?.......there must be a lot of these around. RER(BOB)

      YES-- these are desirable.

Much more desirable when accompanied by the original item, but they still have a strong collector following w/o.

Thanks Scott! Nice Pistol!! Did they use 22 Cal. Rifles in W.W.2 as described on this certificate? BOB

I am not the man on WW2 rifles.

Most folks think of a .22 as a small round-- remember the current US standard issue Rifle/ carbine fires .223 rounds!

These usually bring about $35- $75.

Capture documents for weapons (pistols/ rifles) attract collector interest.

Non serial #d items that can be used to enhance an item/ create provenance (by UNETHICAL people) also seem to get a lot of interest.

In regards to whether the Germans used .22 rifles in WWII, I do know they were used as training rifles by the Germans to save on the cost of ammunition.

Thanks scottvez and Chrisnp for your input. I really don't collect Militaria but it's great to know that this is legit and worth something. RER(BOB)
