I picked up this wicker chair [made out of plastic-coated wire over wood] at Urban Ore last week, took it home and painted it with outdoor oil paint - bright yellow. i like it.

ho2, I want an Urban Ore! You get so many treasures there, and I gather not too pricey.
Is it just a second hand shop, a charity shop or what?

Hi racer4four. Urban Ore is a large warehouse in berkeley where they get pretty much all of their stuff from the dump - believe it or not! we're very lucky to have it here, and i'm surprised more dumps don't do this type of upcycling. i find so much cool stuff there, but not everytime i go there.
