    August Buermann Spurs. Buermann began making spurs in 1868. These are stamped with his trade mark 5-point star and 'Steel Silver.' Buermann patented 'Steel Silver' and 'Hercules Bronze.' The Chief emblem is an example of Hercules Bronze. In 1926 the company was absorbed by North and Judd. North and Judd added an anchor to their stamp. These are prior to 1926. I have not been able to find the exact date of the Steel Silver patent to pin a date.

    They were given to my mom in the late 40's when she was a little girl.

      The leather spur straps were added just a couple years ago, so I could use them.
