I was given a watch from American Waltham Watch Co. I already know the serial number is 18853971, so its probably around 1912. I think the case was made by crescent moon and not by Waltham. By the way it has 15 jewels and I have no ideia how much its worth. Someone told me that the watch is probably from railroad time. Can someone help?

Thank you very much! By the way I have one more watch that is the same deal but behing it says Samuel Stone Fall River Mass. Is this real?

It could possibly be what's known as a private label.
