This compote has a Limoges decorator backstamp (in red as it corresponds to the decorator) but not the green Limoges mark of the company that did the blank. I think that this has been done “ex profeso” because the red one has been done to look that a Sevres mark of porcelain done for the palace or Touleries. In the web there are several examples of Sevres style porcelain with Chateau de Touleries red mark with crown (third picture), most of them fakes. This one is a bit more honest since it clearly says Limoges and that was decorated for Anezin a retailer at Buenos Aires. Sure about 1910-1920. The central painting seems a transfer with hand painted strokes over it is signed Donnatot, a Limoges painter (http://www.place-des-encheres.com/fr/lot.php?idvente=794&idlot=177062) and the gilt is hand painted. This is a porcelain that I had never used because the painting is overglazed.
