    Unifentified old coin of my grandfathers, very small, the size of a 5 pence piece. We don't know the history of this coin and would like any information if anyone has some. Many thanks

      Nice! Well I think ???? is "year" and ????????, (VASILEU?S) means Emperor. If you could find out the letters following "????????", they are hard to see on the picture, you should be able to figure out which emperor and thus the period.

      Oops, CW didn't like greek characters...

      Nice! Well I think ETOV is "year" and BACI^EUS, (VASILEUS) means Emperor. If you could find out the letters following "BACI^EUS", they are hard to see on the picture, you should be able to figure out which emperor and thus the period.
