This is the following issue after the publication that Japan had surrendered. The U.S. was in for a long occupation which for the most part went well. Each of the old mags have a "treasure trove" of advertisements hawking anything from cigarettes and liquor, to washing machines, airlines and cars. I have just recently because of this site started to go over older items I've collected down through the years. It has caused a huge "re-awakening" of which brings me great pleasure. Thanks to all for taking a look.
