This is a piece I had custom made. I used some scrap gold and a lone emerald. The process which at one time was quite unique but has gone to common to hardly being used today. Molten gold is poured over yellow broom straw and then the straw is then burned away thus leaving the unique design in the piece. I bet I have had at least a hundred people over the years ask what the piece was supposed to be. Several thought it was an eagle which maybe I can see a little. But I would always just say that it wasn't supposed to be anything except a chunk of gold with an embedded emerald. I guess you could say its kinda like a cloud, as in many things can be envisioned. The piece measures about an inch and a half tall by an inch and a quarter wide and weighs 16 grams. (approx 1/2 ounce)
