    This is later interpretation of one of the earliest Loetz decors - Olympia, which goes back as early as 1896. The scan of the shape (PN III-616 - see last photo) is from a series dated 1914-1915. The oval Czecho-Slovakia back stamp is generally accepted to have been used from about 1918. After World War I, and up to just before Word War II, Loetz began to mix and match periods, and it is possible to find older shapes with updates to classic decors, and pieces like this one, which used a newer shape with an older decor.
