A while back AntiqueRose and I had a postathon about two glass seal bowls which we eventually identified as Sasaki.
Well of course since then I trip over Sasaki glass animal bowls constantly!

    These are two favorites.
Possibly Takeuchi designs for Sasaki production but I have not verified it.

The elephant is older, probably 60s or 70s, and made in a very simple but effective way. Trunk up for good luck.
Lovely heavy piece of crystal, beautifully finished.
I usually put peanuts in her.
    She's 18cm (7in) long

The lion is of later vintage, probably 90s, and is much more "designed" and is definitely crystal.
I love his style : the big mane, the face, and swooping back.
I usually put cabanossi in him (of course!)
    He's 23cm (9in) nose to tail tip.
